At Analyser, we’re always working away on making changes based on user feedback and where we see room for improvement from speaking to firms om demos and consultations.
Our latest big development is adding comments and justifications when using the due diligence module.
The methodology behind Analyser is deliberately designed to factor in the bigger picture: using hard data and facts while also taking into account more subjective things like your own user experience and platform service. This is why we have comment boxes as part of the process to ensure justification and selections can be done on a proper 360° basis.
What’s changed
Up until now, the only way to add DD comments has been to write them in manually.
Of course, there’s no hard and fast requirement to add in comments because the data stands on its own merits and provides a strong audit trail. We always say that comments don’t need to be war and peace because of that very reason.
However, comments can provide that extra bit of colour and rationale for the platforms and ranges that end up on your panel.
So we’ve upgraded the system to make the due diligence module that bit quicker, and to give you a jumping off ground for the kind of comments that are good to capture.
When running due diligence in Analyser, there are now prefill wizards for all comment boxes, which give you a drop-down menu of ready made comments to use. These are based on a combination of analysis of frequent comments from users and from hundreds of demo conversations, plus a layer of our in-house expertise on what’s required to do effective due diligence.
You can use prefill comments:
- When initially setting up a report, you can prefill headings for ‘current situation’
- At the features selection stage, choose to apply a specific feature as a positive or negative factor to just one or every provider
- Under each platform or MPS provider for each stage of the due diligence process, including final shortlist/panel selection

You can use the prefilled comments on their own, with your own justifications or not at all. The choice is yours.
This new functionality helps speed the process along whether you’re doing a DD exercise for the first time or re-running an existing one.
As part of this update, we’ve also done some work on the user experience, including enhancing the in-system help and tool tips and an updated design of the DD screens so you can see more providers at a glance.

Now that prefill comments are up and running, our intention is to keep automating. Potentially with the help of AI, we can keep making the system faster, better and more intelligent. This development lays the groundwork for that.
